prepare

I offer an obligation-free initial meeting to get to know each other & find out if I am the right fit for your family.

Following this we will have 2 face to face meetings of around 1 hour each before your birth to discuss your birth & how I can best support you.

During our time together I can:

Offer you a birth plan template that we can work through together with your birth partner.
Provide information on the physiology of birth.
Provide information on birth interventions available in the hospital & how to be informed on these.
Provide you with information for natural pain relief techniques during labour & birth, such as water birthing.
Access to my library of birth books.
Work on any fears you may have and complete a fear-release ritual if desired.
Debrief any previous birth experiences.
Meditations & visualisations for a positive birth experience.

Birth attendance

For your birth experience, I will :

Be on call for you from 38 weeks until your birth.
Come to meet you at your home or place of birth.
Support you & your birth partner emotionally throughout your birth experience.
Help to set up the birth space of your dreams as discussed with you.
Provide support for optimal positions for labour and birth.
Provide a foot soak and foot massage as requested.
Provide back massage & counter pressure & acupressure massage as requested.
Provide head massage & hair brushing for you if requested (very relaxing).
Bring my doula bag of labour supports such as a birth comb, hot water bottle, eye mask, affirmation cards & energy pops.
Use of my Birth Sling
Bring my collection of essential oils to use as requested.
Provide music for you to enjoy.
I will be there for you & believe in you.

Golden hour

When your baby has just arrived, I will:

Tend to you & ensure you are comfortable.
Keep you warm & bring you a herbal tea.
Happily take photos as requested.

postpartum

One post natal face-to-face catch up where I can:

Debrief your birth experience with you.
Provide a foot soak & massage if requested.
Provide referral to a lactation consultant if needed.
Meditations & visualisations to integrate your birth experience.
